Stranger than Fiction: Swiss Cheese Pervert Arrested

20-Jan-2014

Earlier this month, we wrote about the strange stuff people steal--like brain samples of mental patients, ponytails, and a live shark. It takes all kinds to make a world, but just when you think you have seen it all, someone comes along and does something even more strange. Take, for example, the "Swiss Cheese Pervert."

After a string of complaints led to a criminal investigation, police in Philadelphia arrested 41-year-old Christopher Pagano on complaints of indecent exposure, stalking, harassment, and open lewdness. Pagano's arrest came after three separate incidents in which he allegedly approached women with his genitals exposed, holding a piece of Swiss cheese and asking them to use the cheese to perform a sex act on him. After the arrest of the Swiss Cheese Pervert, other women came forward saying that they, too, had been approached.

Reports say that Pagano was open in his affinity for cheese, discussing his fetish on Craigslist ads soliciting women who would involve cheese in sexual activity with him. He sent a message through the dating site OKCupid, saying that he was "looking for someone to perform masturbation on him with cheese," and explaining how sex and cheese became inextricable for him:

"I started to compare girls to cheese due to their milky complections [sic], girls are soft, smooth feeling and tend to like dairy products more. That and typical advertising, always using a girl to advertise dairy products. So cheese is what I started to use as a replacement for having sex with girls."

For the most part, whatever happens between consenting adults behind closed doors is nobody's business. Of course, there are some exceptions, but generally, if you want to get crazy with the Cheez Whiz, go for it. Pagano's problem was that he was exposing himself to non-consenting victims, and that he wasn't behind closed doors--he was driving around with no pants on, exposing his genitals and making lewd propositions. Had he kept his particular flavor of kink to Craigslist ads and dating sites, no law would likely have been broken. Instead, the Swiss Cheese Pervert is jailed on $30,000 bond. Indecent exposure is a big deal.

In Oklahoma, indecent exposure is a felony sex offense punishable by a maximum of 10 years in prison. It is a Level One sex offense, which requires sex offender registration for a period of 15 years after the sentence is served.
